I like knight takes h7 too , then knight takes f6 forking black queen. If black queen d6, white queen just takes F6. Might have got this wrong but I am just an average Joe. Be kind.

Of course Kasparov had a massive opening prep, but he was One of the best players ever, even strategically, so for sure he went out of his Prep with ivanchuk s Plan, but still this doesnt explain why he found himself in such a bad situation in few moves

I mean, for sure It counted, but the position Is a peculiar One and not so Easy to evalute and play...a typical ivanchuk position

Mir Sultan Khan is indian he played in the indian national chess championship 🏆 Where only indian citizens could compete Sultan Khan couldn't read and write so He couldn't read chess books He was usually trained by Players who would rival him in competitions He didn't believe in Castling as he thought King was a Strong price and attracted opponents pieces and made them lose their way Sultan khan was a master od indian chess where chess was different But I think he could have easilu destroyed anybody at that time and beyond if he was serious or received any proper training for Chess

If there is a lightning storm the safest place you can be is in your car. It acts like a faraday cage. Electricity always looks for the easiest way to travel. It's easier for it to travel through the metal car than through a person. Both you and car will be perfectly fine. It's been tested on numerous shows including Mythbusters and Top Gear.

This is really helpful, and not just for the actual chess game. Ben's insight into the differences between lower- and higher-rated players is really wonderful. I know I tend to want to play extremely actively, even in a quiet position. Sometimes that just isn't best.

I recently switched from e4 in the QGA to e3 I think e3 might actually just be better, and in any case allows white a good game with much less prep

Very much enjoyed this. I have a question for you - when you say you can solve these puzzles, do you mean in your head, just looking at the position/screen? I'm pretty good at chess puzzles but only by setting up the position on a board and moving the pieces around a bit. I mean this was once obviously the accepted way of solving puzzles, say mates in 2 or 3. But does it really count?
